• In Pennsylvania, there are more than 2.5 million adults age 60 or over
  ...with population increases projected to double by the year 2000.
• Pennsylvania nationally ranks fourth in the number of people age 60 and over and second in the percentage of people age 60 and over.
• As the "Baby Boom" generation moves toward retirement, the number of young caregivers will decrease as the number of people needing care increases.
