The Senior Community Service Employment Program provides employment training
in part-time community service positions for lower-income persons ages 55 or older.
Eligible enrollees shall be placed in assignments which contribute to the general welfare
of the community and offer services related to publicly owned and operated projects.
Eligibility
The Area Agency on Aging’s job developer is responsible for determining the eligibility of applicants based on the following criteria:
- Each individual must be at least 55 years of age
- The income of an individual or the family household in which the individual is a member cannot exceed 125% of the federal poverty guidelines
- Available to residents of Fayette, Greene, and Washington Counties
